International Summer Ballet Camp DANCS 2027

The International Summer Ballet Camp DANCS 2027, organised by the Ballet Artists Association of Slovenia (DBUS), is designed for ballet dancers of different ages and levels – from students of lower ballet schools to advanced, pre-professional and professional dancers.
DANCS 2027 offers three different programmes:
1. Advanced Elementary Ballet Course
19–31 July 2027 | approximately 10–15 years
This programme is designed for students of lower ballet schools who already have a solid foundation in classical ballet. The programme includes daily classical ballet training, classical ballet technique, preparation for stage performance and contemporary ballet.

2. Ballet Masterclass
19–31 July 2027 | ages 16+
The Ballet Masterclass is designed for students of upper secondary ballet schools, students of higher education ballet schools and academies, as well as professional ballet dancers. The programme focuses on classical ballet technique, repertoire, variations and pas de deux, artistic interpretation and, depending on the selected programme, contemporary ballet.

3. Additional Professional Training for Young Ballet Dancers
8–31 July 2027 | Introduction to Work in a Professional Ballet Company
The most comprehensive DANCS 2027 programme is designed for young dancers in the final stages of their ballet education and dancers at the beginning of their professional careers who wish to gain practical experience of working in a professional ballet company.
From 8 to 18 July, participants prepare and rehearse ballet productions. From 19 to 31 July, they continue rehearsals and take part in public performances, while also having the opportunity to attend the Ballet Masterclass and contemporary ballet classes.
The DANCS 2027 repertoire includes Esmeralda, Romeo and Juliet, Tristan and Isolde and Bolero. Participants will also have the opportunity to perform in two DANCS 2027 Ballet Evenings.
